⚠️ Richard Bong SRA Blue/Green Trail Boardwalk Closed
The boardwalk to the Blue/Green trails, located off the trailhead from parking lot B, at Richard Bong State Recreation Area is closed until further notice. Both of the main loops of the Blue and Green trails remain open. Reason: maintenance.
Named for the air ace, on ground abandoned as a fighter base three days before they were to pour the runway. Now 217 sites, a special use zone open to ATVs and off-highway motorcycles, horse trail and a nature center.

$13 per vehicle — A vehicle admission sticker is required. Daily vehicle admission $13 with Wisconsin plates ($16 out-of-state), $3 for Wisconsin residents 65 and older; 12-month pass $28 / $50. Rates effective Aug. 19, 2025.
