About North Point Marina State Recreation Area The largest marina on the Great Lakes, with 1,500 floating slips from 30 to 60 feet, built in 1989 midway between Chicago and Milwaukee. It adjoins Illinois Beach State Park, so the dunes are a short walk from the dock.
