⚠️ New Glarus Woods SP Hwy 69 Road Construction (July-Aug. 2026)
Road construction will be taking place from July 13 through August 2026 on State Hwy. 69. New Glarus Woods State Park will remain open, however, visitors will need to follow marked detours to the park entrance. Reason: maintenance.
Four hundred and thirty-five acres of camping, walking and picnic ground below New Glarus, with primitive drive-in and walk-to sites. The Sugar River State Trail leaves from the park — 24 miles of crushed limestone for bikes, boots and snowmobiles.

$13 per vehicle — A vehicle admission sticker is required. Daily vehicle admission $13 with Wisconsin plates ($16 out-of-state), $3 for Wisconsin residents 65 and older; 12-month pass $28 / $50. Rates effective Aug. 19, 2025.
