⚠️ Capital Springs SRA Boat Launch Closed (July-October 2026)
The Lake Waubesa boat launch at Lake Farm County Park (adjacent to Capital Springs State Recreation Area) will be closed for reconstrcution beginning Monday, July 6, 2026. The launch will be closed for several months. Reason: maintenance.
Minutes out of downtown Madison, with a launch on Lake Waubesa, campsites, and ski and walking trail. The Capital City State Trail ties it to the city and the county bike network; the DNR and Dane County run it between them.

$13 per vehicle — A vehicle admission sticker is required. Daily vehicle admission $13 with Wisconsin plates ($16 out-of-state), $3 for Wisconsin residents 65 and older; 12-month pass $28 / $50. Rates effective Aug. 19, 2025.
