Beginning in late summer 2026, several construction projects will be taking place at Interstate Park that will affect availability of the beach, the Meadow Valley shelter and other park facilities. Reason: maintenance.
Set aside in 1900, the first ground Wisconsin kept as a park, above the gorge the St. Croix cut through the Dalles. There are two campgrounds and a group camp left primitive; the Ice Age Interpretive Center covers the glacial history behind it.
