⚠️ Big Bay SP Campground Closed (Sept. 8, 2026 through June 2027)
The campground and beach parking lot at Big Bay State Park will be closed from Sept. 8, 2026 through approximately June 30, 2027 due to construction projects at the park. Limited parking will be available at the park office and the point picnic area. Reason: maintenance.
Sandstone bluff and four miles of Lake Superior shore on Madeline Island, out in the Apostles and reached by ferry. A mile of boardwalk, a sand beach, 60 campsites and a group camp sit behind the water.

$13 per vehicle — A vehicle admission sticker is required. Daily vehicle admission $13 with Wisconsin plates ($16 out-of-state), $3 for Wisconsin residents 65 and older; 12-month pass $28 / $50. Rates effective Aug. 19, 2025.
