About Split Rock Lighthouse State Park

The light stands on anorthosite cliff over Lake Superior, put there after a November gale in 1905 took seven ships nearby. Cart your gear to a shoreline site or plug in at Shipwreck Creek, then fish for lake trout, brown and steelhead.
