Posted Aug 30, 2026 - Due to to dramatically fluctuating water levels on the Columbia River, Rooster Rock boat launch water levels are extremely low. please launch at your own risk if using the Rooster Rock boat basin and boat launch.
Three miles of Columbia River beach 22 miles east of Portland, with two disc golf courses, a flat two-mile trail and an unfenced off-leash dog area. East winds of 25 to 40 mph bring the windsurfers; the lagoon at the west end stays calm.

$10–$12 per vehicle — Day-use parking permit: $10 per day for Oregon residents, $12 non-resident; $60 for a 12-month permit ($75 non-resident). No permit needed if you walk, bike or are dropped off, or if you are camping in the park.
