About Prineville Reservoir State Park

A high desert park on a 15-mile reservoir formed where the Crooked River meets Bowman Dam, with drive-in and boat-in primitive sites along 43 miles of shoreline. It is a certified International Dark Sky Park, recognised for its night skies and its low-pollution lighting.

$10–$12 per vehicle — Day-use parking permit: $10 per day for Oregon residents, $12 non-resident; $60 for a 12-month permit ($75 non-resident). No permit needed if you walk, bike or are dropped off, or if you are camping in the park.
