About Pete French Round Barn State Heritage Site

A round barn built to break wild horses for the wagon teams that hauled wool and hay to market, and the monument left by Peter French's 70,000-acre cattle empire. Round barns were briefly popular between 1880 and 1920; this one is unusual today.
