About Clyde Holliday State Recreation Site

A shaded oasis of tall cottonwoods along the John Day River, and a base camp for the Strawberry Mountain Wilderness. A nature trail follows the riverbank to a small pond, and autumn brings steelhead rushing upriver to spawn.
