During the winter the parking lot is not plowed, the gate is closed and there are no facilities. Walk-in traffic is permitted.

About Ahern State Park
One hundred and twenty-eight acres of Laconia woodland with 3,500 feet of frontage on Lake Winnisquam, laced with walking and mountain-bike trails. The state took it on in 1994; there is no camping, and in winter the gate shuts and the lot goes unplowed.
