Grinding Day is Sunday August 23 from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The event is hosted by the Marshall County Historical Society and will take place in the mill area of the park.
The steam-powered flour mill and the settlers' log cabin still stand, and once a year the mill is fired up to grind again. The Middle River runs past a swinging bridge, a swimming hole and wooded trails through prairie and riverbottom.

$7 per vehicle — One-day vehicle permit $7; year-round permit $35 ($26 for an additional vehicle, $30 motorcycle, $12 with a disability permit). Free year-round permits for disabled veterans, active-duty military and members of Minnesota’s 11 federally recognized tribes.
