ATTENTION LAKEVIEW CAMPERS: Please utilize the driveway of your site for parking. Parking on the grass is NOT allowed. There is overflow parking at the top of the campground and at the Lakeview Picnic Area. Thank you for helping us protect the lawn. ATTENTION SWIMMERS! Swimmer's itch has been reported at our beach area. To mitigate the risk, towel dry thoroughly, right away, after getting out of the water. There is also a fresh water shower head at the beach area, rinsing off after swimming can help, too. And as always, it is swim at your own risk. ATVs, UTVs and non street-legal dirt bikes may NOT be operated within the state park, as per Minnesota Statute 6100.1900. They must be kept on a trailer at all times in the state park. Parking is only allowed in designated areas.

About Father Hennepin State Park

Two campgrounds and a long sand beach on the quiet southeast corner of Mille Lacs, with accessible piers and two boat accesses. Trails work through maple and along a shoreline of loose rock.

Entrance fee

$7 per vehicle — One-day vehicle permit $7; year-round permit $35 ($26 for an additional vehicle, $30 motorcycle, $12 with a disability permit). Free year-round permits for disabled veterans, active-duty military and members of Minnesota’s 11 federally recognized tribes.
