Beginning in 2026, a large road construction project will be taking place at Buckhorn State Park that will affect availability of some campsites, the accessible cabin, the boat landing parking lot and the boat launch. Reason: maintenance.
Eight thousand acres of peninsula reaching into the Castle Rock Flowage, shared with two state wildlife areas. Family, group and cart-in sites, an accessible cabin, a canoe trail and a fishing pier built for wheelchairs.
