Devil's Lake SP Property Signage and Maps Notice
Devil’s Lake is currently upgrading its wayfinding maps and signs. During this transition period, visitors may encounter different navigational maps out on the property. Thank you for your understanding as we work to improve the park’s signage. Reason: maintenance.

Devil's Lake SP Crowds Notice
Visitors to Devil's Lake should expect long wait times and busy parking lots from May through October on weekends and holidays. Parking lots often fill before 9 a.m. and access to the park may be temporarily restricted until congestion lessens. Reason: weather conditions.

Devil's Lake SP Devil's Challenge Triathlon Notice (Sept. 20, 2026)
The Devil’s Challenge Triathlon will be held on the south shore of Devil’s Lake on Sunday, Sept. 20, 2026 from 8 a.m. to noon. Past events have been held on the north shore, however, the south shore has parking to accommodate an increase in registrants. Reason: safety concerns.

About Devil's Lake State Park

Five-hundred-foot quartzite bluffs stand over a 360-acre lake — the busiest park in the state, and the best rock climbing in it. Thirty miles of trail, 423 sites across three campgrounds, and naturalists working all year.

$13 per vehicle — A vehicle admission sticker is required. Daily vehicle admission $13 with Wisconsin plates ($16 out-of-state), $3 for Wisconsin residents 65 and older; 12-month pass $28 / $50. Rates effective Aug. 19, 2025.
