About Snake Creek Recreation Area

Lake Francis Case on the Missouri is the draw here, with a boat ramp, swim beach, 115 campsites and ten cabins west of Platte. Lewis and Clark passed this way, and 19-year-old Private George Shannon spent two weeks lost nearby, unaware the boats were behind him.
