About North Point Recreation Area
Prairie dogs, dubbed barking squirrels, were new to Lewis and Clark when they reached this stretch of the Missouri above Fort Randall Dam in 1804. Today 115 electric campsites, seven cabins, a swim beach, an archery trail and a shooting range sit a mile from Pickstown.
