About Brenton Point State Park
Eighty-nine acres of former estate grounds on Newport's Ocean Drive, where Narragansett Bay opens into the Atlantic and the wind makes the kite flying as much the point as the view. The Portuguese Discovery Monument, first dedicated in 1988, stands near the shore.
