About Shore Acres State Park

The former estate of timber baron Louis J. Simpson, on craggy sandstone cliffs above the ocean, with a formal garden, a Japanese-style lily pond and two rose gardens in bloom nearly all year. A trail drops to the secluded cove at Simpson Beach; another skirts the cliff edge.
