A scenic headland at the literal end of the road out of Coos Bay, with trails down to a sandy beach and superior tidepools. The north cove trail overlooks the seal and sea lion colonies on Shell Island and closes March 1 to June 30 to protect the pups.

$10–$12 per vehicle — Day-use parking permit: $10 per day for Oregon residents, $12 non-resident; $60 for a 12-month permit ($75 non-resident). No permit needed if you walk, bike or are dropped off, or if you are camping in the park.
