About Heceta Head Lighthouse State Scenic Viewpoint
The 56-foot lighthouse stands 206 feet above the Pacific and throws the strongest light on the Oregon coast, visible 21 miles out; it was first lit in 1894. A half-mile trail climbs past the lightkeeper's house, and a sheltered beach sits just off the parking lot.
