About James Baird State Park

590 acres of farmland given to the state in 1939 by James Baird, the contractor whose firm built the Lincoln Memorial, on condition it carry his name. Work on the park and its golf course began in 1940.

Park is open daily, sunrise to sunset. There is no vehicle use fee to enter the park.

Last ticket sold 1 hr. before sunset.
