A former rail bridge reopened in 2009 as a walkway, its deck standing 212 feet above the Hudson and running 6,768 feet across. Open to walkers, joggers and cyclists for the length of it.
Free entry — Vehicle Entrance Fee: Know Before You Go Dutchess County Parking Vehicle Use Fee required at the Walkway Parking Lot located at 61 Parker Avenue in Poughkeepsie. Free parking is available in Poughkeepsie on Brookside Avenue as well as at Pulaski Park, located just North of the Walkway on Washington Avenue. Ulster County Parking Paid parking through the Town of Lloyd is also available on Haviland Road and the Hudson Valley Rail Trail parking lot, located just west of the Walkway entrance on Haviland Road. Park is open year-round, conditions permitting, from dawn to dusk.

Educational Programs: Year-round by appointment.
Elevator: Elevator is currently open seven days a week from 9:00AM until 90 minutes prior to the park closure. The elevator will close for the season on November 29th.
