Picnicking: Year-round, sunrise to sunset. Permit required for groups of 50 or more. No fee for permit.

About Hempstead Lake State Park
A multi-use park with 18 tennis courts, pickleball and basketball, bridle trails and an observation deck over Hempstead Lake. A historic hand-carved wooden carousel turns among the picnic areas.
