About Madison Boulder Natural Area
Seventeen acres around one of the largest glacial erratics in North America: eighty-three feet long, twenty-three feet high and an estimated 5,000 tons. Left here roughly 14,000 years ago and named a National Natural Landmark in 1970, it makes an easy, strange five-minute walk.
