About Annie and Abel Van Meter State Park

Remnants of the Missouria village at the Great Bend of the Missouri River, mapped by Marquette and Jolliet in 1673, with a hand-dug earthwork and burial mounds. Trails cross the Oumessourit Natural Area past an 18-acre fishing lake.
