Kilen Woods State Park is a self-service park. All permit purchases and registration must be completed online. Directions are available at the ranger station, which is not staffed.
Five hundred and fifty-three quiet acres above the Des Moines River, with Dinosaur Ridge Overlook looking down the valley. Bur oak, wild plum and prairie grass taller than you fill the slopes between the creek bottoms.

Entrance fee
$7 per vehicle — One-day vehicle permit $7; year-round permit $35 ($26 for an additional vehicle, $30 motorcycle, $12 with a disability permit). Free year-round permits for disabled veterans, active-duty military and members of Minnesota’s 11 federally recognized tribes.
