About Names Hill State Historic Site

Emigrants who had just crossed the Green River carved their names into this limestone cliff beside U.S. 189 south of La Barge, and an 1822 inscription makes it the oldest pioneer mark in Wyoming. Look for Jim Bridger's name from 1844.
