Posted Jul 13, 2026 - Technical climbing on Beacon Rock’s south face is reopened as of 7/9/2026. The west and northwest faces remain open. The east face is permanently closed for the protection of natural resources.
Four and a half thousand acres in the heart of the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area, with 9,500 feet of freshwater shoreline. Hiking, technical climbing, horseback riding and biking, with year-round vantage points over the Gorge.
