About Spirit Mound Historic Prairie
Lewis and Clark's party came to this mound on August 25, 1804, and with most of their river sites now under reservoirs, it is one place you can still stand where they did. Walk the trail through a prairie being restored since 2001, home to wildflowers and fritillary butterflies.

Between Oct. 1 and April 30, showers, flush toilets and other water systems may be closed. Please contact the park directly for current status. Vault toilets usually remain open.
