About George S. Mickelson Trail
A 109-mile crushed-limestone rail trail through the Black Hills from Edgemont to Deadwood, crossing more than 100 old railroad bridges and four rock tunnels. Grades are mostly gentle, but the 19 miles from Deadwood up to Dumont make a long climb.
