About Aiken State Park
Four fishing lakes and three public artesian wells sit along the South Fork of the Edisto, where a 1.7-mile canoe and kayak trail runs down the blackwater river. Built in the Depression by two CCC companies, one of them an African American detachment whose work still stands.
