Begun as a National Park Service demonstration area in the 1930s and now one of the largest parks in the state. A 101-acre lake with a beach, cabins, a lodge, and the Wildflower Reserve along Raccoon Creek — 500 species in five miles of trail.
The park is open every day of the year, sunrise to sunset. Day use areas close at dusk.
