Oregon State Park
The site of the 1834 Willamette Mission, washed away by flood in 1861 and now on the National Register, across 1,300 acres of woodland, wetland, meadow and working farmland. The nation's largest black cottonwood stands on Mission Lake — 270 years old and 155 feet tall.
$10–$12 per vehicle — Day-use parking permit: $10 per day for Oregon residents, $12 non-resident; $60 for a 12-month permit ($75 non-resident). No permit needed if you walk, bike or are dropped off, or if you are camping in the park.
