Posted Sep 9, 2025 - This park is within the Clackamas and Multnomah County permanent quarantine zone for all ash, olive, and white fringe tree materials. These tree materials, including firewood, must stay within the county where they were collected to help slow the spread of the emerald ash borer, a highly invasive insect, sighted in this county. Help protect our forests by following these firewood tips: Buy firewood local to your campsite: Choose firewood harvested within 10 miles of your destination or buy certified heat-treated firewood. Avoid transporting restricted wood: Do not bring ash, olive, or white fringe tree materials into any Oregon State Park even if it’s within the same quarantine area. Oregon's only state park inside a major metropolitan area, 15 minutes from downtown Portland. Eight miles of trails, eight bridges and a wetland boardwalk cross 658 acres of second-growth forest, including the fully paved 0.3-mile Trillium Trail.

$10–$12 per vehicle — Day-use parking permit: $10 per day for Oregon residents, $12 non-resident; $60 for a 12-month permit ($75 non-resident). No permit needed if you walk, bike or are dropped off, or if you are camping in the park.
