Twelve ocean-hugging miles between Brookings and Gold Beach, one turnoff after another opening onto craggy bluffs, secluded beaches and offshore rocks. The turnoffs link an 18-mile segment of the Oregon Coast Trail, with Cape Ferrelo among the best whale-watching points.
