Park Upgrades New Traffic Pattern: Please be advised, the parking lot exit has been relocated to the rear of the parking lot. A rideshare drop-off point was added before the parking lot entrance. Our entrance now has two lanes with automated tollbooths that accept exact change, $7, or credit card only. Pet Policy Pets are not permitted on the beach. A maximum of two pets are allowed in day use areas unless prohibited by sign or directive. Pets are to be supervised at all times and either be crated or on a leash not more than 6-feet in length. Proof of rabies inoculation shall be produced if requested by staff. Pets are not permitted in playgrounds, buildings, golf courses, boardwalks, pools and spray-grounds or beaches (this does not apply to service animals). Fishing at Woodlawn Beach In accordance with NYSOPRHP rules and regulations 9 NYCRR title 9, Subtitle I, part 410 regulated activities, section 410.1 subsection (O), Fishing, subject to rules and regulations of the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, except as follows. Part 3) Fishing or crabbing off any dock or property of the commission shall be permitted only at points designated for that purpose. Metal Detecting Please note that metal detecting is by permit only. There is no fee associated with metal detecting permit and the permit is only valid after labor day to memorial day the following year. Radios/Bluetooth speakers/amplification Devices Any and all radios/Bluetooth speakers/amplification devices larger than any handheld unit are not permitted for use one the beach and within the picnic grove area. As per OPRHP Rules and Regulations 9 NYCRR, title 9, subtitle 1, part 375, section 375.1, subsection F, line 8. Empire Pass Please note this park accepts and sells the Empire Passport. Foot-wash Station Foot-wash station is now available for public use. located to the left of the restrooms, two foot-washing stations to rinse off legs and feet. 4th of July/Fireworks There is no fireworks display scheduled for the 4th of July, in addition fireworks are not permitted on parks grounds. May weekends only, starting May 24th to June 1st.
June 7th - Labor Day, daily, 11am - 7pm for swimming.
Beach access is available dawn to dusk.
