About Senate House State Historic Site

The Kingston home of merchant Abraham Van Gaasbeek, where New York's first Senate met in the autumn of 1777 to form a new state government. The state recognised its role in 1887.

Drop-in tours are offered on the hour. The last tour of the day leaves at 4:00pm.
