Rolling, partly wooded ground overlooking Otsego Lake — the "Glimmerglass" of Cooper's Leatherstocking Tales — eight miles from Cooperstown. An uphill forest trail opens onto the lake; the Beaver Pond and Woodland trails run through wildflowers and ferns.
$7 per vehicle — Vehicle Entrance Fee: Cars: $7 (5/24/2025 through 9/1/2025) Bus Fee: $35 Know Before You Go Pet Policy A maximum of two pets are allowed in campsites and day use areas unless prohibited by sign or directive. Pets are to be supervised at all times and either be crated or on a leash not more than 6-feet in length. Proof of rabies inoculation shall be produced if requested by staff. Pets are not permitted in playgrounds, buildings, golf courses, boardwalks, pools and spray-grounds or guarded beaches (this does not apply to service animals). Park Hours: Open seven days a week, year-round, from dawn until dusk.
2026 Swimming Season: Open 5/23/2026 weekends until 6/14/2026, open seven days 6/15/2026 through Labor Day, 11:00 am - 7:00 pm.
2026 Camping Season: 5/15/2026 to Columbus Day

Ice Skating:
Ice skating will be offered at the West Picnic Shelter daily from Daylight to Dusk, ice conditions permitting. No Fee. Bring your own skates!
During the Winter season, a porta-jon is available at Beaver Pond. The Park Office restroom is open daily, Monday through Friday. Check the Facebook page for updates.
Shelter Rentals:
Available for reservation, mid-May to Columbus Day, 8:30 am to 9:00 pm. Reservations can only be made through reserveamerica.com or by calling 1-800-456-2267.
