Posted Nov 14, 2025 - Stage II Fire Restrictions: Building, maintaining, attending or using a fire, campfire, charcoal, coal, or wood stove is prohibited. The use of devices fueled solely by liquid petroleum or LPG fuels that can be turned on and off is allowed. Such devices can only be used in an area that is barren or cleared of all overhead and surrounding flammable materials within three (3) feet of the device. Smoking is prohibited, except within an enclosed vehicle or building.

About Coyote Creek State Park

A small creek valley in the Sangre de Cristos, enclosed by oak, spruce, and pine an hour from Taos. Fly fish the meanders, camp among wildflowers, or book one of the cabins.

$5 per vehicle — Day use $5 NM resident (no charge Oct 1 - Apr 30), $10 non-resident; walk-in and bicycle free. Camping per night: primitive $10 resident / $15 non-resident, developed $15 resident / $20 non-resident. Hookups add $5 water, $10 electric, $5 sewer per day.
