About Franconia Notch State Park

An eight-mile mountain pass between the Kinsman and Franconia ranges, threaded by a parkway that runs from the Flume Gorge to Echo Lake. Swimming, fly fishing at Profile Lake, the Recreational Trail, the Appalachian Trail and the New England Ski Museum are all within it; the Old Man of the Mountain looked out from the cliffs here.
