Advisory
Due to a campground expansion project and the installation of new campground gates, the main campground will be closed November 1 - December 31, 2026. The campground road will be closed to all traffic during this time period.

About Watkins Woolen Mill State Park and Historic Site

Waltus Watkins spent half a century building here, and much of it survives — a home and a three-story woolen mill that give a clear sense of life in the 1870s. A lake, trails and a campground sit alongside the historic grounds.
