About John A. Latsch State Park

One trail, cut by the Civilian Conservation Corps in 1933, climbs half a mile up a steep ravine and finishes on Mount Charity. From up there the Mississippi valley opens 500 feet below, over bluffs the steamboat pilots navigated by. Day use only.

$7 per vehicle — One-day vehicle permit $7; year-round permit $35 ($26 for an additional vehicle, $30 motorcycle, $12 with a disability permit). Free year-round permits for disabled veterans, active-duty military and members of Minnesota’s 11 federally recognized tribes.
