Some trails in the park have been impacted by the flooding. Many trails have washouts, but all are passable. The Sandbank Trail is completely open. Mystery Cave will be open Wednesday through Sunday beginning September 8 through October 18. Mystery Cave is closed to the public October 19 through early May 2027. Updated September 3, 2026

$7 per vehicle — One-day vehicle permit $7; year-round permit $35 ($26 for an additional vehicle, $30 motorcycle, $12 with a disability permit). Free year-round permits for disabled veterans, active-duty military and members of Minnesota’s 11 federally recognized tribes.
