About Lawrence Heritage State Park
Lawrence, one of the country's first planned cities, hosts a visitors center in a restored 1840s boarding house, where exhibits trace mill workers, immigrant families and the Bread and Roses Strike of 1912. Outside, an esplanade runs beside the Merrimack for fishing, paddling and picnics.
