About Cross Timbers State Park

Forested flood plains ringed by prairie terraces and oak savanna lie south of Toronto in Woodson County, on ground the Osage Nation hunted and camped. Six trails cross it, the longest running 11 miles, and the Ancient Trees Trail is kept for walkers alone.
