The park will be operating with limited services during our annual shutdown week from September 14–18. While our campground and hiking trails will remain open to visitors, the Discovery Center and cave tours will be unavailable. The cafe and the gift shop will be closed until further notice. Please see our Cave Tours page for information on how to prepare for your visit.
A limestone cave found in 1974 by two cavers who kept it secret for four years to protect it, at the eastern foot of the Whetstone Mountains. Guided tours run below ground; above it there are cabins, campsites and desert trails.
