About Register Cliff State Historic Site
A day's travel west of Fort Laramie, emigrants on the Mormon, Oregon and California trails stopped here and cut names, dates and hometowns into the sandstone. Henry Frederick gave the cliff to Wyoming in 1932; the land around it is private.
