Washington State Park
The U.S. Army built a fort here in 1856 on what had been a Yakama Nation camping area; it closed in 1859 and passed to the Bureau of Indian Affairs. Five of the original buildings survive, along with the tribal jail, restored barracks and the blockhouse.
